The Montessori Assistant is an important part of every Montessori classroom and will benefit from professional development. The Preparation Course for Montessori Primary Assistants introduces Montessori principles and practices in the context of the assistant's job definition. Montessori principles include Maria Montessori's unique understanding of the power of a young child to direct his or her own work activities. Exercises specifically designed to enhance observation skills will be practiced because of their importance in guiding the child.

Practical implementation ideas to be covered include: discipline challenges and conflict resolution; communication; observations and responses; songs, games and other group activities; overview of the environment and more.

Early childhood educators and parents have found this course enormously worthwhile.
