World Language Acquisition with Françoise Sansoni

Montessori places the development of language squarely at the center of human development, as a fundamental human tendency, and as one of the core mechanisms for the development of human intelligence. She also tells us that one language is not enough: "In the past, one language was enough, but today it is the social convention that education should include the ability to read and write correctly in several languages."

Many of our students did not learn multiple languages in early childhood and need ongoing support for additional language acquisition.

In this webinar, Françoise will talk about the practical considerations for the prepared environment for world language study and work for adolescents. Looking at Montessori's Educational Syllabus, Françoise will make suggestions about what to study and how to study. She will offer practical tips and guidelines, and take time for some Q & A.
